Do you struggle with structure in your technical interviews? Follow these communication tips:

1. Talk through your logic BEFORE you start coding
   Don’t just jump straight in to writing code - explain to the interviewer what you will do first.

   
   → “Before I begin, let me explain my approach. I’ll first check if the input is valid. If it is, I’ll iterate through…”

   
   

2. Don’t go silent!
   Continue explaining your approach while you code.
   Especially if you get stuck on a bug, explain why you think it happened, and how you will debug it, before you begin debugging.

   
   → “Looks like there’s an error with the for loop. I suspect this is because I forgot to add indentation.”

3. Ask clarification questions
   If something is unclear, don’t be afraid to ask questions rather than making incorrect assumptions.

   
   → “Should I assume the array is always sorted, or do I need to handle unsorted cases as well?”
