How to Write Better Prompts

Example 1

Give me a dialogue of a sprint planning meeting for a new feature for a mobile banking app. The company is a small FinTech startup. Use British English and language that would be used in a startup environment.

Add context. Be as specific as possible by including details like cultural scenarios, project types, or workplace dynamics. This makes the output more tailored and realistic.

Use Real-World Scenarios. Frame prompts around actual challenges or situations you encounter in your professional life.

Example 2

I want a more natural and varied vocabulary in English. Can you teach me 10 business English phrasal verbs related to problem solving?

Define Your Goal. Clearly state what you want to achieve, whether it’s writing, brainstorming, or practicing a particular skill.

Example 3

Here's a Slack message that I’m going to send to my team mate, asking for an update on a delayed task that's blocking my progress. Can you check if the tone is polite and suggest corrections if needed, with an explanation?

Request Explanations: Ask AI to explain why it suggested specific phrases or why something is wrong, to deepen your understanding.

Incorporate Tone Requests. Specify the tone you need, such as formal, collaborative, or persuasive, to match different contexts.

Last Week’s Poll

We asked you: Do you mention your hobbies and interests in your interview self-introduction?

Most of you said it depends on the interviewer.

Marta said: “If the interviewer is friendly or open, I might mention a hobby and especially if I can relate it to the job.”

This is a good strategy! Your hobby might demonstrate essential soft skills like teamwork, creativity or problem-solving.
